The Chairman
of FNF reports: "I once attended a seminar organised by
NAPO on combating discrimination in court
welfare reports.
The sessions were on race, disability and sexual orientation,
actually only lesbianism.
"At
the end of the plenary I put a question: I have no issue with opposing
all the types of discrimination discussed, but what about straight
sex discrimination?
This drew the comment from the then vice-chair of
NAPO and the person heading up their section on family policy.
"The question of whether those advantages which men
enjoy in most areas of life, and to which they seem
attached, disadvantages them in matters concerning
children, does not amount to sexism in NAPO's eyes, and is not
a matter we see any need to have addressed." - One
Graham Walsh."
CONCLUSION
I therefore recommend that custody of the child be given - as
per usual - to the mother.” |
