The cracks are beginning to show. Too many good fathers have been shafted
and their children badly hurt by the family courts in all our name.

Even a year ago stories like this would not have appeared without the facts
being distorted in order to cover up the abuse by the mother and the family
court's support and protection of her actions.


A child's right of access to its parents and siblings

Siblings, Inside Cork 22 May 2003 :

THE 19 year old girl and her brother and sister went on to talk about the mental and physical abuse they had suffered at the hands of their mother who they described as psychotic and in urgent need of medical help.

She would just fly off the handle for no reason and would even fall on the floor during arguments with our father and try to convince us that he had assaulted her. We witnessed many of these incidents and we knew the truth, yet no-one is willing to listen to our side of the story.

The teenagers went on to say that they had no faith in the family court system and felt family counsellors had also not taken into account their feelings.

The trouble with the family courts is that it always seems to be the husband who gets the blame in these situations and they invariably believe the wife's version of events.

I never thought my mother would go so far as to stop us from seeing our two youngest sisters who live with her."

There are many adults + late teens who have been kept apart from one parent or half sibling.

These people need to be united in order to take a mass action against the state.

It is a common misconception that children will automatically suffer if they leave their mother's home.

Thorpe demonstrates that he allows himself to be influenced by what Psychologists term the 'maternal deprivation' theorem, and he thus can not conceive that children can be switched from one home to another.

This is a traditional Bowlby view that meant during the 1960's even children who were abused in their own homes were not moved.

Rutter (knighted for work that debunked Bowlby) said that such a view is ridiculous. He held that even a bad institution is better that a home in which the child is abused.

Mr Justice Wall recently wrote that on a couple of occasions he had switched children from one home to another with remarkable effects.

Asked to produce these two judgemenents, The Lord Chancellors Department stated that since these two judgments by Mr Wall were not in the High Court or Court of Appeal they were not recorded.
